NDIS Therapeutic Support

Empowering Your Journey Toward Wellbeing and Independence

Navigating life with a disability presents unique challenges, but it also offers opportunities for profound growth, resilience, and self-discovery. As a PACFA-registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor, I provide specialized therapeutic support tailored to NDIS participants who are looking to improve their emotional wellbeing, build capacity, and enhance their quality of life.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where we work together to understand your "internal system," manage stressors, and develop practical tools for daily living.

How I Support NDIS Participants

My approach integrates traditional talk therapy with somatic (body-based) awareness and parts-work. This is particularly effective for:

  • Emotional Regulation: Developing strategies to manage anxiety, frustration, or sensory overload.

  • Building Capacity: Enhancing social skills, communication, and confidence in navigating community spaces.

  • Navigating Transitions: Support through life changes, whether moving home, starting a new job, or changing support structures.

  • Relational Support: Working through the complexities of relationships with family, partners, or carers.

  • Processing Trauma: Gentle, somatic-informed care to help process past experiences in a way that feels safe for your nervous system.

Our Therapeutic Approach

I believe that therapy should be as unique as the person receiving it. My practice often draws from:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Understanding the different "parts" of ourselves to find inner calm.

  • Somatic Integration: Tuning into the body’s wisdom to manage stress and physical tension.

  • Process-Oriented Therapy: Following your natural flow of experience to find meaning and direction.

Funding and Eligibility

I can provide services to NDIS participants who are Self-Managed or Plan-Managed.

Typically, these services fall under the following Support Category in your NDIS plan:

  • Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living

  • Support Item: Individual Counselling (Item 15_043_0128_1_3)

Note: As a PACFA-registered provider, I provide "Counselling" and "Therapeutic Supports" rather than "Psychology." Please check with your Support Coordinator to ensure your plan allows for these professional services.
